Connect ChatGPT
ChatGPT's custom MCP app is a separate product surface from Codex. Availability depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace policy.
SeamUI MCP server URL
https://www.seamui.com/api/mcpConnection requests are open on this deployment. This assistant's sign-in is still being tested.
Copy this deployment's URL. Never put a provider key, OAuth token, or secret in the URL or a chat.
Availability
This ChatGPT connection is still being tested with SeamUI. Keep your app private while testing. A successful tool scan does not prove the connection works: try a safe read from your Workspace before using other tools.
Before you start
- Check that your ChatGPT plan and workspace allow custom apps and developer mode.
- Have a SeamUI Workspace with an active plan or free trial, and your SeamUI sign-in ready.
- Copy the SeamUI server URL above. Do not paste a provider key or token into ChatGPT.
Create a private app
- Enable developer mode in ChatGPT if your account is allowed to do so.
- Open Apps > Create from your user or workspace settings.
- Enter the SeamUI MCP server URL and choose sign-in through SeamUI if prompted.
- Run Scan Tools and sign in to SeamUI. Review the connection, then manually select one Workspace in step 2 and confirm before returning to ChatGPT.
- Test a safe read in a new chat before considering any action that changes content.
Use a file as a reference
ChatGPT cannot send a file attached to the chat to SeamUI: its Python environment cannot make external web requests. Give ChatGPT a public https link to the file, which SeamUI downloads itself, or upload the file in the Dashboard first. Files already in SeamUI, such as generated assets, can be reused directly.
If the tool scan or sign-in fails
Stop at the error screen and contact SeamUI support with the visible message and the step that failed. Do not retry with a static API key or share a sign-in link, code, or token.
