Connect Claude
Use this guide for Claude on the web, Desktop or Cowork. Claude Code has a separate setup and callback URL.
SeamUI MCP server URL
https://www.seamui.com/api/mcpConnection requests are open on this deployment. This assistant's sign-in is still being tested.
Copy this deployment's URL. Never put a provider key, OAuth token, or secret in the URL or a chat.
Availability
Claude sign-in is being tested with SeamUI. A saved connector does not yet mean the connection is ready. Confirm that Claude can read data from your selected Workspace before using other tools.
Before you start
You need a SeamUI Workspace with an active plan or free trial, and an Owner, Admin or User role.
Have your SeamUI sign-in ready. You do not need separate credentials or an API key.
Connect Claude
- Open Claude's Customize > Connectors, then add a custom connector.
- Enter the SeamUI MCP server URL shown above.
- For authentication, choose Sign in now. SeamUI has no anonymous MCP tools, so do not choose Sign in when needed or No sign-in.
- Under OAuth client, choose Register automatically. Leave request headers empty and keep Streamable HTTP as the transport. No client ID or secret is needed from you.
- Sign in to SeamUI and review the connection (step 1). Continue to step 2, manually select one paid Workspace, then confirm. SeamUI returns you to Claude. Ask Claude for your connected Workspace to verify the selection.
Use a file from the chat as a reference
Claude sends a file attached to the chat to SeamUI by running a command in its code execution sandbox. That sandbox follows your network egress setting. When the SeamUI domain is not allowed, the upload fails with "Host not in allowlist".
- Team and Enterprise plans: an organization Owner opens Organization settings > Capabilities and chooses Allow network egress to package managers and specific domains, then adds the domain of the server URL above. Network access starts with package managers only on Team and turned off on Enterprise.
- Free, Pro and Max plans: network egress is set in Settings > Capabilities. By default, it only reaches approved package sources.
If you cannot allow the SeamUI domain, give Claude a public https link to the file, which SeamUI downloads itself, or upload the file in the Dashboard first. Both work with no setting.
If sign-in does not finish
If Claude shows "Continue anyway", "Connection issue", or SeamUI says "The requested scopes are not supported", the connection has not finished. Do not change transport, add request headers, or paste a token to work around it. Contact SeamUI support with the visible error message and the step where it happened. Never include authorization links, codes, cookies, or tokens.
