Connect Claude Code
Claude Code is the command-line client. Use this guide instead of the Claude web connector guide.
SeamUI MCP server URL
https://www.seamui.com/api/mcpConnection requests are open on this deployment. This assistant's sign-in is still being tested.
Copy this deployment's URL. Never put a provider key, OAuth token, or secret in the URL or a chat.
Availability
Claude Code sign-in is still being tested with SeamUI. Adding the server is only the first step; verify a safe read from your selected Workspace before relying on the connection.
Before you start
You need Claude Code, an eligible SeamUI Workspace (active plan or free trial), and an Owner, Admin or User role. You do not need a client ID, secret, or provider API key in the command below.
Connect Claude Code
Copy the SeamUI server URL above and use it in this command:
claude mcp add --transport http seamui YOUR_SEAMUI_MCP_URL- Replace the URL placeholder with the copied address. Do not put a secret or access token in the command.
- Run
claude mcp login seamui, or open/mcpinside Claude Code. - Sign in to SeamUI, review the connection, then manually choose one Workspace in step 2 and confirm before returning to Claude Code.
- Use
/mcpto inspect connection status and try a safe read before any write.
Use a local file as a reference
Claude Code sends a local file to SeamUI with a command it runs in your terminal. Whether that command reaches the domain of the server URL above depends on where Claude Code runs:
- On your machine: the Bash sandbox is off by default, so no network setting is needed. When you turn the sandbox on, its allowed domains start empty: Claude Code asks for approval the first time a command needs a new domain, or you add the SeamUI domain to
sandbox.network.allowedDomains. - Cloud sessions: the default Trusted network access only allows package registries and other listed domains. Edit the environment, set Network access to Custom, then add the SeamUI domain under Allowed domains.
If the upload cannot reach SeamUI, give the assistant a public https link to the file, which SeamUI downloads itself, or upload the file in the Dashboard first. Both work with no setting.
If sign-in does not finish
If Claude Code reports a callback or authorization error, note its message and contact SeamUI support. Avoid repeated sign-in attempts with different flags unless support asks. Never share tokens, authorization codes, or the query string of a callback URL.
